RECERTIFICATION
US Soccer gives Referees a 3 Year Window to recertify. Referees need to recertify every year to stay a LICENSED Referee.
If you were Licensed in 2024 (July 1,2023 through June 30, 2024) - your License expires 12/31/24
If you are Licensed in 2025 (July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025) - your License expires 12/31/25
To Register:
You need to be Logged into your US Soccer Learning Center Account
- Click on Courses at Top of the Screen
- Click on Available Courses
- Click on Recertifying Referee
- Click on Go to Course List
Course is done all online. Courses are offered monthly. Badges are mailed after the month ends and come from Official Sports (takes 3 weeks).
There are FIVE Online Assignments that are required:
Background Check (18 years old & over – must CLEAR background check)
Grassroots Recertification Refresher & LOTG Update
Recertifying Grassroots Referee Quiz
Introduction to Safe and Healthy Playing Environment
SafeSport Training (only if over 18 years old)
To find the Assignments, log in to the Learning Center, click on “COURSES” at top, then ‘MY COURSES”, then “GO TO CLASSROOM” and click on the “ASSIGNMENTS” tab to complete online requirements. Once the requirement has been completed, it will show as SATISFACTORY.
If all Assignments are not completed by the course deadline, your registration will be automatically transferred to the next available Recertifying Grassroots Referee Course.
